  1. Launch of Allegiances Comprised: I have read your synopsis of the aforementioned book. My father served in the Irish and Free State army and was one of those ex British Soldiers who remained very bitter during his 34 years in our Army. Myself and 9 siblings were born and reared on THE CURRAGH. I have written a memoir of our growing up on the Curragh which is available from ‘Original Writing’ and published in March. It is proving very
popular with the oldies like myself. My name is Pat Quilty (nee O’Sullivan) and my father spent most of his army days as a member the Fire Brigade driving the old and new fire engines.
